Donations

Postby USSGreatePier » 06 Jun 2012, 10:56

I just made my donation to this project, comparable in size to the Kickstarter pledge. The only thing I hope is that the developers are going to keep the iron hot and promote the little donation button a bit while Kickstarter pledgers might still be checking in on the project.

I'm sure every $ or € helps, so I hope people will still stand behind their pledges ;)

Now that Kickstarter has really passed, we can focus on the next steps. I'm sure there are more people who would donate a couple of dollars (or euros) to the project. So we will make the donate button more prominent :-)

Sweet, I'm sure that'll help :)

Kickstarter pledges totalled over $13k... I hope the donate button will also bring in the necessary cash.

Yes please. Money <3
But if it's meant for the game I don't actually know if that could work business-wise. I can imagine the government would think that we're laundering money or something :P

Yeah that would probably be a bit difficult, with the Donate button, we can keep track of the money that comes in, but we will have to pay a certain amount of taxes on those donations as well (yes, there is no escaping the Dutch government). Having donations made out in cash will only complicate things.

Unless it is a huge amount of cash of course :P

That's just plain sick  Oh well, Dutch bureaucracy and greed rolled into one... Has been like this since forever, so I don't know why I'm actually surprised

Good to see donations are still being offered.

The Dutch government likes to tax everything, its ridiculous.
Anyway, I'll donate something when the demo goes live later this year.
