Hey everybody!
I've never been able to give input on a game that is in development before! I feel like this is exclusive and exciting. I just jumped around the website a bit. I haven't spent too much time reading up on the progress of the game yet, but it looks very promising! The environmental aspect sounds great. To put in my two cents, I feel that the strongest downfall of games in this genre would be combat. I want to see an enemy react to how I hit him with my sword. (or pitchfork if that's the case) I don't like combat where the weapon swings right through the enemy and instead of getting knocked back or keeling over they just blink red and/or take a step back. I feel like the Zelda titles have always had good combat, (although I have mixed feelings about the games overall). But If I have fun fighting, then I could totally see myself buying this Cross of the Dutchman game. I have high hopes that this game could top them all!

This game sounds amazing. I hope its not limited in "free to roam" aspect. Like inFamous and Assains Creed you can roam around the place and discover your environment and climb anything you want. Brutal Legend would be a great game to model some aspects off.

Im looking forward to the game and learning as much as i can about my friesland ancestry :)

Keep up the great work :)

Indeed, indeed :) I'm sure they will have a free roaming element in it... Why am I so sure? Well, you just can't keep freedom away from Frisians ;)

And welcome to the forum, thehaag!

Well, to be honest it won't be anything like GTA. That would require a team that is about 10x the size of what we have at Triangle. However, we do have quite a large scale, and the environments are more than just a road. You'll be able to wander off and get yourself a couple of sidequests going in pretty much every location of the game :-)

Hey all, knotsie here, from the netherlands :P

Found out about this game when it got some media attention when the kickstarter project started :)
I really liked to see that this game is an ARPG, I like those games and there aren't too many new ones each year. (can only think of diablo 3 and torchlight 2 this year)
I mainly joined here because I still don't really know what to expect of this game, next to that it is an ARPG game featuring sword fighting and the story of course.
So far it's looking good, I especially liked the ship you showed recently, so keep up the great work :)
