DancePad nominated for Dutch Game Award!
Okay, so this isn’t actually about Cross of the Dutchman, but about another game created by Triangle Studios. Still, we’re so proud if this that we thought it’s worth mentioning on this blog as well!
Last night was the Control Gamelab in Amsterdam where the nominees for the Dutch Game Awards 2012 were revealed. Today we are very proud to announce that Triangle Studios’ game DancePad is nominated for a Dutch Game Award in the category Best Mobile/Handheld Game! The other nominees are Fingle by Gameoven and Munch Time by Gamistry. Let’s hope we can take home one of those orange owls again this year!
DancePad is a finger-dancing game for the iPad that challenges players to move their hands to the beat. Although the app is easy to learn, it is hard to master as users will have to skillfully jump, slide and jive around the dance floor following dance moves with their fingers. The better gamers get, the more levels they will unlock!
DancePad was developed by Triangle Studios and published by Moonshark. In addition to that, some amazing artists such as the Jabbawockeez and J-Lo have been promoting DancePad, helping it reach a top-3 position in the App store for iPad games overall.
“DancePad combines great music and cool dance steps to create an amazing experience, so there is no one better to partner with on this app than Jennifer Lopez,” said Matt Kozlov, CEO of Moonshark. “When we first showed the game to her, she was hooked, and now she’s got everyone from her backup singers and dancers to her own kids playing DancePad.”
The DGA’s will be awarded 22 November during the Control Industry Dinner in Amersfoort.
