GDC Online ’11
One of the best things about developing video games is being able to go to tradeshows and talk about your next product. I have been visiting shows like GDC in San Francisco, Cologne, Leipzig and even Tokyo, but the most interesting of them all is the GDC Online in Austin, TX.
Last year, I visited this smaller version of GDC for the first time, and held a talk about WINtA. The reaction was very positive but best of all, we were able to talk with many developers and publishers in a way that is very difficult at any of the larger events. In a way, the Austin GDC has a much more relaxed atmosphere, and it is much easier to approach people and have a chat.
So, that’s just what we will be doing this week. Margriet (Manager of our Dallas office) and myself are traveling to Austin today and will give you a report on what is going on in downtown Austin.
In case you know of anyone who is also making the trip to GDC Online, and who just might be interested in talking to us about Cross of the Dutchman, or anything else in particular, just drop us a line! email@example.com.
